I remember picking up a Ceramics Monthly back in 2009, it was the emerging artists issue, and thinking to myself, "I want that". I put it on my 5 and 10 year list of professional goals.

I am beyond HONORED to have been selected alongside an amazing group of young talent.

We talked about a few favorites from my personal collection, I demonstrated throwing, trimming, and handle-making, and then I worked with the whole group as they worked on drinking vessels!

Most of which seemed very out of reach as an intermediate ceramics student. One of those goals was to be a resident artist at Red Lodge Clay Center.

Back in May 2015, I decided to apply for a short-term residency. I was blown away when I received the email, that I had been accepted! I spent three weeks, over Christmas Break, in the beautiful town of Red Lodge, MO.

RLCC exceeded everything I had imagined it to be. It was one of the nicest studios I've worked in; tidy, organized, with a warm energy! The residents, staff and community made the experience even better. Needless to say, I love Red Lodge Clay Center, and would suggest to anyone interested- DO IT! The short-term residency was a great program, which gave me an idea of what the long-term residency was like. Here are a few images from my time at Red Lodge!
